Insulation of magnetite filters
The Building Energy Act (GEG), valid since January 2024, specifies minimum requirements for the insulation thickness of pipes and fittings. The rule is so-called 100% insulation. This means that all hot pipes such as heating pipes, hot drinking water pipes including circulation pipes must be encased with an insulation thickness that is at least equal to the internal diameter of the pipe.
This means that “fittings” such as our magnetite filters from the MAGella series are also meant. According to Annex 8 to §§ 69 and 70 of the GEG, the insulation thickness here must be 50% of the pipe. With our insulation for the MAGella MG100 and MAGella MG200 magnetite filters, we exceed the insulation thicknesses required by the GEG. The #insulations are easily available for retrofitting in the trade.
